The Valleyarm Absolute Pop compilation, featuring great artists like Pseudo Echo and Jason Singh, was released worldwide on June 6, 2011!

The 24-track release showcases great acoustic singer-songwriter, pop-rock and dance tracks from all across the world, including fantastic songs by former Taxiride frontman Jason Singh, eighties nu-wave act Pseudo Echo and the beautiful acoustic talents of Gold Coast musician Turner. As a founding member of commercially successful Australian band Taxiride, Jason saw his band score seven Top 40 hits in Australia with songs like Get Set, Everywhere You Go and Creepin’ Up Slowly.

While his band mates Tim Watson, Tim Wild and Dan Hall may no longer be on the Taxiride band wagon, Jason is still winning over audiences with his solo work. He has worked with artists like Snoop Dogg, and recently launched his single I Can Dream as a Digisingle with Valleyarm. Of Fiji Indian and Maltese heritage, Jason is also known for subtly hinting at his love for classical Indian music through his work.

Pseudo Echo’s take on Funky Town spent seven weeks at number 1 in Australia in 1986. Since then Pseudo Echo has disbanded, reformed and gone through lineup changes but that has never affected their ability to play flawless 80’s synthpop rock. The live Funky Town track featured on Absolute Pop captures the energy that is Pseudo Echo live, making you feel as though the 80’s never really ended.

Turner is a delightful addition to Valleyarm Absolute Pop, with his track Move adding charming acoustic pop melodies to the compilation. The dashing Australian musician hails from the sunny Gold Coast, and his debut album Ghosts will be an excellent pop release to watch out for when it comes out in July 2011.
